Box Score NGU officially ended the 2019 season with a 3-1 loss to the Limestone Saints in the Conference Carolinas Tournament Quarterfinal in Gaffney, South Carolina. With the 2019 season complete, North Greenville finishes with an 18-15 overall record with a 10-6 conference record. Caroline Forster led NGU with 11 kills while Abigail Durham led in total attacks with 28.
Set one began with a quick 3-1 run by Limestone. The Crusaders recovered to tie the score at 4-4, but the Saints pulled away from there to lead for the majority of the set. However, that lead would end when a 6-0 run by North Greenville gave them a 20-19 lead. However, LC would close out the set by scoring six of the final eight points to take the opening set 25-22.
The second set began with the first two points going to NGU. Limestone responded with the next six points to force a Crusader timeout. An 11-4 run by North Greenville made the score 15-12 in favor of the Crusaders. The Saints cut their deficit to one with a 3-1 run, but would be forced to take a timeout when NGU responded with a three point run. Limestone put together one last fight to attempt the comeback, but a kill by Abigail Durham and an attack error allowed the Crusaders to tie the match with a 25-21 set win.
Limestone would jump ahead 9-3 to begin the third set. The Crusaders were able to get going with a 4-0 run, but the Saints would respond with a 6-1 run to pull away again. LC would go on to take the set without an issue with the score 25-13.
Another fast start by Limestone was followed by a run by NGU to tie things up at 8-8. The set would go on be tied again at 12-12, but a 10-2 run by the Saints would put the set out of reach. North Greenville put up one last fight with three straight points, but LC would put the match to rest with a 25-17 set win.
