Tigerville - North Greenville's Kaliber Hoey earned Defensive Player of the Week honors from the Conference Carolinas this week after NGU's upset win over West Alabama on Saturday in Livingston. It is the third consecutive week a Trailblazer has earned the DPOW honor from the league. 

Hoey earned the accolade after his career day for the Tigers picking off two passes in the winning effort over the #18 West Alabama. His first helped end a possible scoring drive for the Tigers while his second came in the fourst quarter which sealed the game for NGU, picking the pass off in the end zone and returning it 46 - yards. Hoey also registered a pass break - up in the process.
