Tigerville, SC - North Greenville put together a dominant performance with a 3-0 sweep of the Barton Bulldogs earlier this evening at Hayes Gymnasium. The win put NGU in the win column in Conference Carolinas play to move to 1-1 and 3-5 overall. Things began with a fairly one-sided win in set one as the Trailblazers would take it 25-17. After a run by Barton to start set two, North Greenville would take over the set from there, going on to win it 25-19. NGU controlled set three early on, but a late run by the Bulldogs would put some doubt into the set. However, the Trailblazers would end the night with a 6-1 run and a 25-23 set win. For the match, the Trailblazers finished with a .280 attack percentage and led in points, kills, service aces, blocks, assists, and digs.
Samantha Ball led the night for NGU with a double-double including 15 kills and 10 digs while also providing 2 service aces and a solo block.
Anna Fiddelke posted 7 kills, 2 solo blocks, and a block assist.
Elise Smith also recorded 7 kills as well as 4 digs.
NGU will return to action tomorrow to take on the Chowan Hawks at Hayes Gymnasium.
