Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers finished their week with a 3-1 victory over the Hawks of Chowan University earlier this afternoon at Hayes Gymnasium. NGU fell behind in the opening set as Chowan won it 25-20. However, the Trailblazers would recover by evening things up with a 25-21 win in set two. Set three belonged to North Greenville as well with a score of 25-20. The final set would be one-sided as NGU would pull away to win the set 25-17. For the match, the Trailblazers finished with a .177 attack percentage and led the way in kills, assists, and digs while doubling the Hawks in service aces 14-7.
Samantha Ball led the afternoon in kills with 17 while completing yet another double-double with 15 digs. She also posted 4 service aces and an assist.
Elise Smith posted 12 kills, 5 digs, 2 service aces, and an assist.
Anna Fiddelke recorded 8 kills, 3 solo blocks, 2 service aces, 2 block assists, and an assist.
North Greenville will return to action on Tuesday, September 23rd to take on the Lions of Emmanuel University in Franklin Springs, Georgia.
