The North Greenville Trailblazers completed a perfect season in Conference Carolinas play, finishing the regular season off with a 19-16 victory over the Bobcats of Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, North Carolina. A hard-fought battle began with a 5-3 lead for NGU after the conclusion of the 1st quarter. Lees-McRae scored the opening three goals in the 2nd quarter to take a one goal lead. However, North Greenville would retake the momentum by scoring four of the final goals of the quarter to go into halftime with a 9-6 lead. After LMC scored the first two goals of the 3rd quarter, NGU was able to respond by scoring the next four goals. Momentum would go back to the Bobcats as they would score four of the next five goals to close their deficit back to two. NGU would close out the 3rd quarter with the final two goals and would also score the first two goals of the 4th quarter to open the lead back up to six. Lees-McRae would become the aggressors for the remainder of the game, scoring four of the final five goals including three consecutive. However, NGU would ultimately hang on for the win to finish the season with an overall record of 10-5 while going a perfect 7-0 in conference play.
Nick Meier finished his regular season on a high note, scoring five goals as well as an assist, five ground balls, and a caused turnover.
Hayden Moffat recorded three goals, an assist, two ground balls, and a caused turnover.
Liam Brubacher posted three goals and a ground ball.
NGU will return to action in the semifinals of the Conference Carolinas Tournament on Friday, April 25, 2025 in Mount Olive, North Carolina.
