Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers put together a solid performance against the 7th ranked Bears of Lenoir-Rhyne University, but ultimately fell with a final score of 13-8 at Pepsi Stadium. NGU was outscored by two goals in both the 1st and 2nd quarters. After
Caden Castle scored the opening goal of the game, Lenoir-Rhyne responded with the remaining three goals of the 1st quarter. After the two teams exchanged goals twice to start the 2nd quarter, LR would pull away with three straight goals to lead by five. In the final seconds of the 1st half,
Caden Castle would score his third goal of the game to put North Greenville back within four going into halftime. The Trailblazers opened up the 2nd half with goals by
Aydan Sizemore and
Caden Castle. However, Lenoir-Rhyne would then close out the quarter with three straight goals to take a five goal lead into the 4th quarter. Lenoir-Rhyne opened up the lead to seven by scoring the first two goals of the 4th quarter. NGU closed out the game with a goal by
Tyler Slais and
Caden Castle, but the comeback would fall short as the Bears would hang on for the win. North Greenville finished the night with a total of twenty-five shots with eighteen on goal.
Caden Castle led NGU with five goals while also providing a ground ball.
Aydan Sizemore finished with one goal and three assists.
