The North Greenville Trailblazers were unable to keep up with the Lions of Emmanuel University as a high-powered offense led the Lions to an 82-57 victory in Franklin Springs, Georgia. NGU fell behind in the first half, with Emmanuel taking a 37-20 lead into halftime. Offensive struggles plagued the Trailblazers as a .272 field goal percentage led to a seventeen point deficit. A much more competitive second half resulted in Emmanuel increasing their lead. North Greenville improved with a .438 field goal percentage in the second half, but the Lions would comfortable hang on for the conference win.
CaDarrius Sowell Led NGU in points with fifteen while also recording three assists and three rebounds. Michael Wilson, Jr. finished with fourteen points, eight rebounds, an assist, and a steal.
Savion Brown posted seven points, a steal, and a rebound.
NGU will face the Bobcats of Lees-McRae College on Wednesday, February 19th at Hayes Gymnasium.
