Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers came up just short against the Bobcats of Lees-McRae College at Hayes Gymnasium with a final score of 71-70. A competitive first half resulted in the Trailblazers go into halftime with a two point lead. The scoring increased throughout the second half as Lees-McRae shot .464 in the half. NGU recorded the same shot percentage of .387 in both halves, but improved in three point territory in the second half, making four of nine shots. The lead switched several times in the final minutes of the game. A clutch three pointer with twenty seconds remaining gave LMC a one point lead. NGU was able to put up what would have been a game-winning shot, but the should would bounce off the rim as Lees-McRae would hang on for the win.
John Haddock Rogers posted eighteen points, three rebounds, a block, and an assist. Michael Wilson, Jr. recorded seventeen points, seven rebounds, five steals, and four assists.
CaDarrius Sowell finished his day with thirteen points, six rebounds, and five assists.
