The North Greenville Trailblazers fell to the Valkyries of Converse University with a final score of 74-63 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. First half struggles put NGU behind by double-digits as Converse went into halftime with a 41-23 lead. North Greenville outscored the Valkyries in the second half, but couldn't complete the comeback and ultimately fell by eleven points. Turnovers were an issue for the Trailblazers as seventeen turnovers resulted in twenty-one points for Converse. North Greenville did lead the night in second chance points, turning thirteen offensive rebounds into sixteen points. NGU shot .421 from the field but struggled from three point territory especially in the first half, finishing with a .348 percentage.
Michael Wilson posted a twenty-one point performance, and finished just one rebound shy of a double-double with nine while also providing two steals.
Savion Brown scored eight points off the bench and also provided two assists, a rebound, and a steal.
Justin Perry also posted eight points.
North Greenville will return to action on Saturday, February 15th to face the Lions of Emmanuel University in Franklin Springs, Georgia.
