Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers were able to get the new year started with an impressive 90-49 victory against the Wildcats of Johnson & Wales at Hayes Gymnasium. NGU put together a strong first half, hitting fifteen of thirty shots from the field including seven of eleven three point shots to go into halftime with a 42-21 lead. North Greenville would continue to pull away in the second half, allowing a total of fourteen players to see playing time. The Trailblazers shot well in the second half as well, posting a .457 field goal percentage to outscore the Wildcats by another twenty points.
Michael Wilson, Jr. posted fourteen points with two rebounds and a block.
Savion Brown also finished with fourteen points.
Jacob Brown finished one point shy of a double-double, posting nine points and eleven rebounds while also providing three assists and two steals.
NGU will take on the Bobcats of Lees-McRae College on Wednesday, January 8th in Banner Elk, North Carolina.
