North Greenville wrapped up their weekend with a 3-0 loss against the Pacers of USC Aiken on the final day of the USC Aiken Invitational in Aiken, South Carolina. The Trailblazers were able to take an early lead to begin the afternoon, but the Pacers would eventually claim the lead for themselves and were able to maintain a healthy one throughout the remainder of the set. NGU posted its best attack percentage of the afternoon in set one, but USC Aiken would ultimately win the set 25-19. Set two saw a number of momentum swings for both teams. North Greenville claimed the first swing, but the Pacers would claim the last by scoring four of the final five points to take the set 25-19. USCA pulled away early on in set three, and although NGU was able to put together a small run to close things out, USC Aiken would win the final set 25-17. The Pacers led the match in kills, aces, blocks, assists, and digs while finishing with a .313 attack percentage while NGU struggled overall with a .099 percentage.
Elena Dyer had a solid afternoon, finishing with eleven kills and two digs.
Samantha Ball neared a double-double with nine kills and seven digs while also posting two service aces.
Allison Ball provided sixteen assists along with four digs.
NGU will face the Braves of UNC Pembroke on Wednesday, September 18th at Hayes Gymnasium.
