The North Greenville Crusaders left Savannah, Georgia victorious by defeating the Fighting Knights of Lynn University in overtime with a final score of 16-15. Lynn led the afternoon in total shots, but the Crusaders were able to make the most of their shots as more than half of NGU's shots resulted in goals. A high-scoring 1st quarter saw NGU take a 6-5 lead. The Crusaders extended the lead throughout the 2nd quarter, outscoring the Fighting Knights 4-1 and going into halftime with a 10-6 lead. Lynn shutout North Greenville in the 3rd quarter while scoring three goals of their own to trail by just one goal going into the 4th. A high-scoring 4th quarter resulted in a tie as LU would lead the quarter in goals 6-5 to force overtime. With just eight seconds remaining, NGU put an end to the game with a goal by
Nathan Bucey.
Nathan Bucey led NGU with 3 goals while also recording a ground ball and a caused turnover.
Tyler Pellegrino posted 2 goals as well as an assist.
Austin Jones recorded 17 saves at goalie.
NGU will return to action on Saturday, March 16 at Pepsi Stadium against the Montevallo Falcons.
