Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders fell to the Lions of Paine College this evening at Hayes Gymnasium with a final score of 83-76. NGU put together an impressive first half, shooting .463 from the field and leading 47-29 at halftime. However, things would not go the same in the second half as the Crusaders went 0-10 from the three point line and shot just .344 from the field. Paine was ultimately able to complete the comeback with a fifty-four point second half. Points off turnovers proved to be a key factor as the Lions led in the category 25-6.
Babatunde Ajike posted a double-double, finishing with 11 points, 10 rebounds, an assist, and a steal.
CaDarrius Sowell led the Crusaders with 23 points and also recorded 2 rebounds, a block, and an assist.
Max Topham finished with 15 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal.
NGU will return to action on Saturday, February 24th against the Flying Fleet of Erskine College in Due West, South Carolina.
