The North Greenville Crusaders led by as much as nine in the second half this afternoon at Hayes Gymnasium, but ultimately fell to the Valkyries of Converse University with a final score of 65-61. After an early lead by the Valkyries in the first quarter, NGU eventually took the lead and led by as much as seven before settling for a two point lead going into halftime. The Valkyries started off the second half on a strong note to take a five point lead with the Crusaders controlling the majority of the remainder of the second half, leading by as much as nine with less than eight minutes left. However, a thirteen point run by Converse would see the Valkyries take a four point lead. NGU shot an impressive .462 in the first half but cooled down in the second half with a .286 percentage from the field. Point off Turnovers told the story as Converse dominated in the category 18-4.
