Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers were unable to hang onto a lead in the second half as they ultimately fell to the Tornado of King University with a final score of 71-64 at Hayes Gymnasium. Both teams shot well from the field in the first half, but went cold throughout the second half as King recorded a second half field goal percentage of just .286 while NGU posted a .250 percentage from the field for the half. North Greenville had a lead in both halves as their last one would come with just over five minutes remaining in the game. However, King would close things out with the momentum, finishing the game with their biggest lead of the game. The Trailblazers shot .350 from the field for the game, and struggled further from behind the arc. After going just four of thirteen from three point territory in the first half, NGU struggled further in the second half, making just two of twelve from the perimeter.
Michael Wilson Jr. finished a solid day with twenty-five points, five rebounds, two steals, two blocks, and an assist.
Savion Brown posted thirteen points, five rebounds, four steals, and an assist.
Max Topham also provided thirteen points along with three assists, a steal, and a rebound.
NGU will face the Hawks of Chowan University on Tuesday, December 17th at Hayes Gymnasium.
