Pensacola, FL – North Greenville's offense was held in check on Saturday afternoon against West Florida as the Argos defeated the Trailblazers 35 – 14 in Gulf South Conference play.
North Greenville's two touchdowns came in the second quarter as a result of big plays from the defense and one from special teams.
RJ Glasgow put North Greenville on the board with 40 – yard interception return while
Jerrick Foster returned a kickoff 99 – yards a few minutes later. The kickoff return made the score 21 – 14 at the time of the score.
West Florida would add a score before halftime and tack on a touchdown in the fourth quarter to secure the conference win. The Argos also benefited from defensive touchdown early in the first quarter to give them the early lead.
NGU struggled to get much going offensively, finishing with just 74 – yards offense. North Greenville's defense allowed 309 – yards of offense but held UWF to just 21 – offensive points.
De'Iveon Donald led North Greenville's defense with nine total tackles and half a tackle for a loss.
Warren Coneway had eight tackles and a pass break – up.
Dee Brown had three tackles and accounted for NGU's only sack of the day.
