The North Greenville Trailblazers played a tough game on the road in the Florida Tech Thanksgiving Tournament, but ultimately fell on the short end this evening in Melbourne, Florida as they fell to the Sailfish of Palm Beach Atlantic University with a final score of 77-73. The two teams finished the game with practically identical field goal percentages, with NGU posting a .509 percentage while PBA ended with a .508 percentage from the field. North Greenville struggled from the arc, but otherwise shot well in the first half, making thirteen of twenty-seven shots for a .482 percentage from the field for the half. Both teams improved from the field in the second half, both posting a field goal percentage for the half above .500. The Trailblazers led by as much as seven in the second half, but a late run by Palm Beach Atlantic proved to make the difference as a 6-2 run for the final minute and a half put the Sailfish up by four to end the game.
Jacob Brown posted a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds. He also provided four assists and a block.
CaDarrius Sowell led both teams with twenty-one points in addition to four rebounds, two assists, and a block.
Savion Brown recorded eighteen points, four rebounds, and a steal.
NGU will return to action tomorrow afternoon to take on the Panthers of Florida Tech in Melbourne, Florida.
