The North Greenville Trailblazers fell to a 3-5 overall record this afternoon in Melbourne, Florida with a 78-67 loss to the Panthers of Florida Tech. NGU carried the momentum early on by scoring the first five points and led by as much as six. However, Florida Tech would put together a 14-1 run, going on to lead by double digits going into halftime. North Greenville once again took the momentum to begin the second half, scoring the first six points to cut the deficit to seven. Later in the half, NGU would put together an 8-2 run to get within six points of the Panthers. However, the Trailblazers were ultimately unable to cut into the deficit any further as foul trouble would allow Florida Tech to preserve a double digit victory with the help of plenty of sixteen made free throws in the half for the Panthers. North Greenville finished the game with a .391 field goal percentage and only slightly trailed Florida Tech in second change points and points off turnovers.
CaDarrius Sowell led NGU with fourteen points and also provided five rebounds and three assists.
Savion Brown posted twelve points, a rebound, an assist, and a block.
Max Topham led NGU in total rebounds with eight while also scoring six points and collecting two steals and an assist.
NGU will return to action on the road in Mount Olive, North Carolina to take on the Mount Olive Trojans on Wednesday, December 4th.
