The North Greenville Trailblazers suffered a disappointing 57-49 loss to the Lions of Paine College this evening in Augusta, Georgia. Turnovers told the story as twenty turnovers by North Greenville led to fifteen points for Paine while the Lions committed just four turnovers, leading to just four points for NGU. The two teams finished the night with nearly identical field goal percentages, with North Greenville slightly leading at .339 for the evening. NGU put together a strong first half to hold a double digit lead at halftime with a score of 30-20. However, the second half proved to be a struggle for the Trailblazers, who went scoreless for the final four minutes of the game.
Kael Rillie led the night in points in NGU, finishing with eleven while also posting two rebounds and an assist.
Max Topham neared double digit points with nine along with nine rebounds and an assist. Michael Wilson, Jr. recorded six points along with twelve rebounds, two assists, and a block.
CaDarrius Sowell provided a strong defensive game, blocking three shots.
The two teams will face each other again on Thursday, November 21st, this time at Hayes Gymnasium.
