Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders were dominant in the first half but ultimately came up short against the Braves of UNC Pembroke this evening at Hayes Gymnasium with a final score of 71-69. NGU was solid in the first half, recording an even .500 field goal percentage to take a 41-27 lead into halftime. However, the Braves were able to bounce back and ultimately escape Tigerville with a two point win. UNCP dominated in offensive rebounds with a total of twenty-one, which resulted in twenty-four second chance points. Turnovers proved to be costly for both teams as the two teams would combine for forty-eight points off turnovers with the Crusaders slightly leading with twenty-six of them. NGU finished the night with a .451 field goal percentage.
CaDarrius Sowell posted 16 points, 3 blocks, a rebound, and a steal.
Caleb Williams was also solid with 15 points, 3 rebounds, and an assist.
