Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusdaers improved their conference record to 4-0 tonight at Hayes Gymnasium by defeating the Erskine Flying Fleet with a final score of 3-0. NGU dominated the evening in kills, more than double the Flying Fleet 47-20, and also dominated in assists 45-20. The Crusaders went on to also lead the way in service aces, blocks, and digs. An impressive night resulted in a .347 attack percentage while limiting Erskine to a .045 percentage.
Set one proved to be the most competitive of the match. Erskine was able to take an 8-5 lead thanks to a five point run, but North Greenville would later fight back with a 7-1 run to take the lead. NGU would go on to take the set 25-19. Sets two and three were controlled early on by the Crusaders. North Greenville would easily take set two with a score of 25-12 as well as set three 25-15.
Abigail Durham put together a dominant performance, finishing with 17 kills as well as 14 digs, 3 block assists, a solo block, and an assist.
Samantha Ball posted 10 kills as well as 5 digs and 2 service aces.
Elena Dyer recorded 9 kills, 2 block assists, and a dig.
NGU will return to action on Tuesday, September 29th against the Barton Bulldogs in Wilson, North Carolina.
