The North Greenville Crusaders entered the win column this afternoon in Central, South Carolina with a 4-2 victory over the Southern Wesleyan Warriors. NGU finished off the day with a total of twenty-two shots with fifteen of them on goal. SWU posted thirteen shots with just four on goal.
Michel Weber recorded his first win of the season at goalkeeper, posting two saves.
NGU was able to get on the board early after a foul led to a penalty kick goal by
Kalvin Semedo in the 7th minute. Just past the thirty minute mark into the first half,
Aulon Lekaj added to the lead with an assist by
Kalvin Semedo. SWU would get on the board ten minutes into the second half with a goal to cut the deficit to one. However,
Kalvin Semedo would increase the Crusader lead back to two with an assist by
Renan Macuglia. Macuglia would score a goal of his own with an assist by
Yessine Bessaies. With a minute and a half remaining, the Warriors scored the final goal of the match, but the clock would hit zero with the Crusaders taking the win by two goals.
Kalvin Semedo scored two goals and provided an assist.
Renan Macuglia finished his day with a goal as well as an assist.
Aulon Lekaj scored a goal as well and finished with a total of three shots.
The Crusaders will face the Lakers of Clayton State University on Tuesday, September 19th in Morrow, Georgia.
