Tigerville – North Greenville led early but #20 Lewis put together a big second quarter and led the rest of the way, earning a 16 – 8 win over the Crusaders.
North Greenville opened the scoring with back-to-back goals to take an early 2 – 0 lead but saw the Flyers storm back to score the next four goals. NGU evened it up at four before the end of the first period but Lewis scored seven goals in the second quarter to lead 11 – 5 at intermission.
Three unanswered goals in the third period got the Crusaders back in to contention. The three goals in the quarter came as part of a 4 – 0 run for NGU, one goal of which came at the end of the second. Lewis answered with a pair of third quarter goals and three more in the fourth while North Greenville scoreless the final 19+ minutes of game time.
