Perdew Nears Program Record in Upset Win Over Francis Marion

Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders upset the Patriots of Francis Marion University with a 96-86 win this evening at Hayes Gymnasium. Although the two teams finished with nearly identical field goal percentages, NGU was able to pull away with an impressive .467 percentage from three point range. After leading by nine in the first half, NGU would continue to pull away in the second, leading by as much as fourteen. Francis Marion fought back to cut the deficit to seven, but the Crusaders would take back over from there, ultimately finishing with a ten point victory.

Key Stat: Three Point Field Goal Percentage - NGU impressed with a 46.7 field goal percentage, making fourteen of thirty three pointers while Francis Marion was not quite as successful from behind the arc, posting a 33.3 percentage and making eight of twenty-four.
