The North Greenville Crusaders fell to the Bobcats of Georgia College with a final score of 69-66 this afternoon in Dahlonega, Georgia. NGU ended the first half with a four point lead, leading 35-31. Georgia College recovered in the second half as the game would be tied late. A last second three points by the Bobcats would result in a heartbreaking three point loss for North Greenville. After a timeout,
Zak Perdew was able to get a final shot off, but it would result in a miss as Georgia College would hang on for the win. NGU finished the game shooting .345 from the field. They would struggle overall from three point range, recording a .292 percentage from three point territory. Although the two teams finished the game with the same amount of rebounds, the Bobcats led in offensive rebounds 15-10, which resulted in 17 second chance points for Georgia College while NGU managed just eight.
Zak Perdew put together a strong performance, finishing the game with 19 points as well as 6 rebounds, an assist, and a steal.
Babatunde Ajike recorded 11 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, a block, and a steal.
Caleb Williams posted 8 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal.
NGU will return to action on Wednesday, November 15th against the Saints of Limestone University at Hayes Gymnasium.
