Crusaders Win in Dominating Fashion Against Erskine

NGU posted its second conference victory of the season by defeating the Erskine Flying Fleet in dominating fashion with a final score of 5-0 in Due West, South Carolina. The Crusaders scored a goal in the first half then went on to dominate the second half with four goals to put the match on ice. The win improves NGU's record to 2-7-0 overall with a 2-3-0 record in conference play.

After fourteen scoreless minutes, NGU would get on the board when Nico Ferraro found the back of the net for the first time this season with an assist by Kalvin Semedo. The Crusaders went on to finish the half with eight shots without allowing a single shot by the Flying Fleet, but the score would remain 1-0 going into halftime. North Greenville added a second goal nearly five minutes into the second half as Renan Macuglia posted his fourth goal of the season with an assist by Terell Whitehead. Just over four minutes later, Leo Vasconcelos added to the Crusader lead with his first goal of the season with an assist by Michael Goodwin. Yessine Bessaies also scored his first goal of the season with an assist by Kalvin Semedo to score NGU's fourth goal of the match. Finally, Aulon Lekaj capped off the scoring with his second goal of the season with assists by Luke Porazzo and Ethan Thompson.

Yessine Bessaies finished with a goal, 5 shots, and 3 shots on goal. Leo Vasconcelos scored a goal on 3 shots with 2 on goal. Kalvin Semedo posted 2 assists and put up 4 shots with 3 on goal.

North Greenville will return to action on Saturday, October 7th against the Southern Wesleyan Warriors at Pepsi Stadium.
