Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders record their first tie of the season against the Young Harris College Mountain Lions. The Crusaders scored early in the first half, but the Mountain Lions were quick to tie things up just a few minutes later. North Greenville was forced to play great defense in the second half as Young Harris applied a lot of pressure late, the Mountain Lions were up 2-1 until a last-second NGU goal tied it up with a final score of 2-2. Young Harris out-shot North Greenville seventeen to nine, they led in shots on-goal as well with eight to NGU's six. The tie will move NGU to 3-3-1 in conference play and 3-7-1 overall.

Midfielder Yessine Bessaies and defender Matteo Galeotti were NGU's two goal scorers in the game. Forward Renan Macuglia recorded two assists in the game along with fellow forward Kalvin Semedo's single assist. Goalkeeper Jayce Lamb also had a solid performance as he had five saves on seventeen shots-faced.

North Greenville will head to Murfreesboro, NC next to take on the Chowan University Hawks on Saturday, October 14th at 4pm.
