North Greenville nearly completed a comeback this evening in Hickory, North Carolina but ultimately fell to the Bears of Lenoir-Rhyne University with a final score of 3-2. The Crusaders were thoroughly outmatched in the first two sets, dropping set one 25-18 and set two 25-16. However, NGU would get back into the mix by winning set three 29-27 and set four 25-20 to force a deciding set. NGU held a 2-1 lead, but Lenoir-Rhyne would lead from there and go on to take the final set 15-9. Service aces proved to be the biggest factor of the match as L-R dominated the category 14-3. The Crusaders did lead in total blocks 9.0-4.0.
