North Greenville suffered its first conference loss of the season this evening in Florence, South Carolina in a 3-1 upset by the Francis Marion Patriots. FMU, who entered the match with a 3-4-2 overall record and a 2-1 conference record dominated the night in shots 12-3. However, two of Francis Marion's three goals came in the form of penalty kicks. Down 2-0, the Crusaders were able to get on the board in the 2nd half with a goal by
Paul Mues, his first as a Crusader. However, a third goal by the Patriots proved to be the dagger in the heart as the Crusaders would post just one more shot for the remainder of the match.
