The North Greenville Crusaders fell to the Valkyries of Converse University with a final score of 2-1 this evening in Spartanburg, South Carolina. NGU held a lead for just over two minutes before Converse scored the equalizer in the first half and scored what would go on to be the game-winning goal in the second half. The match resulted in a total of eight yellow cards between the two teams. In the 34th minute,
Yessine Bessaies gave NGU the lead with an unassisted goal. However, that lead would last just over two minutes as the Valkyries responded with the game-tying goal. Just over ten minutes into the second half, the Valkyries took the lead with an assisted goal. NGU would spend the remainder of the match posting four shots with three of them on goal, but the Crusaders would ultimately come up short as Converse was able to hang on for the win.
