Tigerville, SC - North Greenville entered the win column tonight at Pepsi Stadium with a win over the Coker Cobras by a final score of 2-1.
Renan Macuglia was the scorer of both goals, all of which were scored in the first half of the match. In the 29th minute, Macuglia was able to get the Crusaders on the board with a header off a pass by
Tyler Brown, his first collegiate assist. Less than two minutes later, Macuglia would find the back of the net again after a loose ball allowed an uncontested goal from outside the box. After a close half in the shot column, which NGU would lead 6-5 at halftime, the Cobras would be aggressive in the second, putting up nine shots including a goal in the 52nd minute. However, the Crusaders would ultimately hold off the Cobras to secure the victory.
