Johns Creek, GA –North Greenville fell to 4 – 5 on the season after a 17 – 10 loss to Alabama Huntsville, Saturday afternoon.
Thomas Cecere put North Greenville on the board early in the first quarter and
Hayden Moffat made it 2 – 0 with his first score of the game with 10:50 on the first quarter clock. Alabama Huntsville answered with six consecutive goals including the first three scores of the second quarter to take an eventual 6 – 2 lead.
North Greenville added a pair of scores in the second but trailed by seven goals at half. The Crusaders put together their best offensive showing of the day in the third period, scoring four goals. Moffat added a pair of scores while
Nolan Drop and
Tristan Stephenson also scored. The four unanswered goals cut a once 11 – 4 deficit to just three goals with 3:13 left in the period.
Huntsville answered with a big fourth quarter scoring five goals while holding North Greenville to just two more scores.
Kyle Bollman and
Alex Brooks added to NGU's scoring total.
Moffat led North Greenville with three scores.
Alex Brooks finished the day with two goals. Briton Weems was solid defensively with four caused turnovers and a team high six groundballs.
