Tigerville – A late surge by North Greenville put NGU up late in the second half but Palm Atlantic outscored the Crusaders in the fourth quarter to take a 12 – 8 win. T
The Sailfish went up by four goals in the first half. After NGU tied the score at 1 – 1 with a goal from
Thomas Cecere, the Sailfish scored four unanswered goals including the first score of the second quarter go go up 5 – 1.
North Greenville went on a run of its own, scoring three in a row including another from Cecere.
Jacob Collins pulled North Greenville to within one with his goal which made it 5 – 4 with 5:57 left before intermission. The Sailfish tacked on one more before halftime to make it 6 – 4.
The Crusaders kept it close and took its first lead of the day on goal from Cecere with 14:41 left in the game. The assist came form
Nolan Drop and made it 8 – 7 in favor of NGU. It would be the last score of the day for the Crusaders.
Palm Beach scored the next two to take the lead at 9 – 8 with 13:00 left. The Sailfish padded their lead with the next three scores to extend the cushion to four goals.
Cecere led the Crusaders with three goals on the day followed by
Alex Brooks who had two scores.
Nolan Drop led the team with a pair of assists.
