Box Score 2 The North Greenville Crusaders suffered 10-1 and 6-5 losses to the Bobcats of Georgia College this afternoon in Milledgeville, Georgia.
Bailey Pace took the mound to start game one and pitched two strong innings but didn't make it past the 3rd inning as the Bobcats would score seven runs in the inning.
Kinslee Hughes was able to get the Crusaders on the board in the top of the 4th by way of an RBI single, but Georgia College would continue their momentum with three more runs in the bottom of the inning. With the run rule threatening to end the game early,
Josie Reed would get on base with a walk but NGU would otherwise go quiet in the top of the 5th to wrap up game one.
Bailey Pace was charged with the loss. The Crusaders started game two with two runs in the 1st including an RBI double by
Claire Gilmore.
Morgan Hatchell was the starter for game two and went on to pitch a complete game. The Bobcats responded to NGU's two runs with a run of their own in the bottom of the 1st. Both teams would score a run in the 4th with NGU's coming from an RBI single by
Claire Gilmore. GC would come through with the tying run in the bottom of the 6th with the help of an error earlier in the inning. With the 7th inning going scoreless, both teams would get a run across in the 8th. North Greenville would also get a run across in the top of the 9th, but after the Bobcats scored the tying run yet again, they would then score the winning run by way of an RBI double. Hatchell allowed just two earned runs but recorded the loss.

- Claire Gilmore recorded two hits including a double and totaled three RBIs, a walk, and a run scored.
- Taylor Koon posted two hits including a double and also drew a walk and scored a run.
- Morgan Hatchell pitched 8.1 innings and allowed six runs with just two of them earned. She allowed ten runs and walked two while striking out four.
