Tigerville – North Greenville fell to Valdosta State 58 – 37 Saturday afternoon in Younts Stadium.
It was a tale of two halves for North Greenville which led 28 – 14 after the first 30 minutes. Valdosta state proceeded to outscore NGU 44 – 9 in the second half en-route to the gulf south win. VSU finished with 534 – yards of total offense compared to 423 – yards for North Greenville. The Blazers' rushing attacked amassed 242 – yards while Ivory Durham threw for 258 – yards and four scores.
North Greenville turned a Delta State turnover in the first score of the game when Dylan Ramirez ran it in from two – yards out with six minutes in the first quarter remaining. The Blazers answered their first score of the game on the ensuing drive.
North Greenville answered with a pair of unanswered touchdowns to take a 21 – 14 lead. Both scores were Ramirez passing touchdowns that looked to put the
Crusaders in control. Quintin Sanders and
AJ Tolbert were on the receiving end of the scoring plays. Valdosta State tacked on a touchdown before the end of the first half. North Greenville blocked a field goal at the end of the second quarter to keep the lead at 14.
The Blazers scored on six of their seven second half drives while holding North Greenville to one touchdown. The Crusaders regained a brief lead in the third quarter when a safety made it 30 – 28 after the Blazers evened the score with their second third quarter touchdown. Tyler Hamilton accounted for the only touchdown for North Greenville in the second half, a score that made it 37 – 36.

- Dylan Ramirez broke his own passing record with 324 – yards with three touchdowns. He also had a touchdown on the ground.
- Corey Watkins ran for 92– yards on the day and scored a touchdown.
- Three players had 10 – tackles on defense including De'Iveon Donald, Jaiden Clayton, and Ethan Alexander.
- Rodney Evans led the team with 1.5 tackles for a loss while Darius Young added a sack.
- Shanye Monsanto forced a fumble that was recovered by Termaine Epps.
