Tigerville, SC - After winning the opening two sets this afternoon at Hayes Gymnasium, the North Greenville Crusaders were unable to stop the charge by the Trojans, dropping the final three sets to fall 3-2. NGU won the first two sets 25-20 before falling in set three 25-18, set four 25-15, and set five in extra points with a score of 19-17. The final set proved to be a classic as both teams faced several match points including a game-saving kill by
Whitley Kahler that sailed through the rafters and landed just inside the line to keep NGU alive. However, UMO would finally string together the final two points to take the victory. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 13-2 in conference play, which placed North Greenville 2nd in the Conference Carolinas West Division standings. The Crusaders finished the match with a .192 attack percentage. Three different Crusaders recorded double-digit kills.
