North Greenville Sweeps Francis Marion to Start Off Weekend on the Road

North Greenville began its busy weekend with a 3-0 victory over the Patriots of Francis Marion University this evening in Florence, South Carolina. An opening set that saw both teams struggle to limit errors ultimately resulted in a 25-23 set win for the Crusaders. Both teams would improve drastically in set two. FMU would post a higher attack percentage for the set, but the Crusaders would post twelve kills and four service aces along with just four errors, which was enough to win the set 25-21. The Patriots once again struggled throughout set three while NGU continued to limit errors. Thirteen kills and just five errors for North Greenville was enough to comfortably win the final set with a score of 25-18. The win keeps the Crusaders just behind the Emmanuel Lions in the Conference Carolinas West Division Standings. In addition, Abigail Durham posted her 1000th career kill and Ashlyn Conner recorded her 1000th assist during the match.
