Box Score 2 North Greenville split a two-game series with the Cobras of Coker College this afternoon in Hartsville, SC. NGU recorded eight hits in the opening game but were unable to turn those hits into runs as the Crusaders would fall short in the game with a final score of 6-3. However, after being shut out for four innings in the second game, the Crusaders would go on to run rule the Cobras by scoring thee runs in the 5th and ten runs in the 6th.

Carmen Silvester had solid days with five hits each.

- Jenna Hewes would put the Crusaders ahead in the top of the 1st by way of a sacrifice fly to score Josie Reed. North Greenville would run into some trouble in the bottom of the 5th with starting pitcher Bailey Pace and relief pitcher Morgan Hatchell allowing five runs in the inning. NGU would respond with two runs in the top of the 6th with a sacrifice fly by Jenna Hewes and an RBI single by Taylor Koon to close the deficit to two runs. The Cobras added an insurance run in the bottom of the 6th by way of an RBI triple. Taylor Koon would record her second hit of the game, but the bottom of the 7th would otherwise be uneventful. Bailey Pace was charged with the loss.
- After two scoreless innings to begin the 2nd game, Coker would strike first in the bottom of the 3rd with an RBI single. A 2-RBI double in the bottom of the 5th would put the Cobras up 3-0. However, the Crusaders would respond when Claire Gilmore hit her second home run of the season, tying the game at 3-3. The big inning would come in the top of the 6th. With the bases loaded, Aschlyn Hutto would reach on an error to bring in the first run of the inning. After that, Bailey Pace, Claire Gilmore, Josie Reed, Brianna McRae, and Taylor Koon would all hit RBI singles to bring in five additional runs as the inning continued. Jenna Hewes would blow the game open with a bases-clearing triple to extend the Crusader lead to nine. She would eventually score on a passed ball to get NGU the tenth run of the inning. The Cobras would get two on base in the bottom of the inning, but Jaelin Griffin would strike out the final batter to end the game. Griffin was the winning pitcher.

- Josie Reed had a strong day at the plate, going 5-6 with 2 runs, 2 walks, and an RBI.
- Carmen Silvester also posted 5 hits for the day. She also scored 2 runs and drew a walk.
- Taylor Koon recorded 4 hits with 2 RBIs and a run scored.
