Tigerville –North Greenville's defense clamped down and pitched a second half shutout against West Alabama on Saturday but a big first half by the Tigers ended in a 31-14 loss for the Crusaders.

How it Happened
First Quarter | The only three points of the first frame came on a West Alabama field goal. The Tigers connected from 44-yards out to make 3 – 0. North Greenville had just 27-yards of offense in the first quarter and punted each of its first three drives.
Second Quarter | West Alabama took control of the game in the second quarter, scoring three goals before halftime. Jack McDaniels tossed three touchdown passes during the second frame including a 37-yard pass to Tyriq Martin to put North Greenville in a 24-0 hole. NGU's offense continued to struggle against the UWA defense, posting just over 40-yards of total offense before the buzzer.
Third Quarter | West Alabama's only score of the second half came on a defensive touchdown. The Tigers picked up a backwards pass and took it back five yards to extend the lead to 34-0. North Greenville's first score of the game came when

Fourth Quarter | The Crusaders got one more score in the fourth quarter when Riley once again found
Christian Bruce for their second touchdown of the day. The pass came from 11-yards out and made it 34-14.

- Dre' Williams led the ground attack for NGU with 70-yards on 21-attempts.
- Bruce finished with 55-yards on three catches to lead all NGU receivers. He finished with a season high two touchdowns.
