How it Happened
First Quarter | Dre Williams turned the second play from scrimmage in to six points, taking it 64-yards for the score. It is the fourth scoring play of the season from 50 or more yards. Mississippi College answered with a scoring drive of its own, driving 79-yards on 21-plays to even it at 7 – 7. The drive lasted 11-minutes.
Second Quarter | The Choctaws capitalized on a North Greenville punt in the second quarter to run the score to 14-7. North Greenville answered when

Matthew Martin from 40-yards out. MC tacked on a score in the final seconds to make it 21 – 14 at half.
Third Quarter | The only score of the third came from the Choctaws who put together another long drive. Marching 76-yards on eight plays for the score. The Choctaws held the ball for nearly 45-total minutes on Saturday, more than doubling the time of possession. MC held the ball for 41-minutes of Saturday's game compared to just 18-minutes for north Greenville.
Fourth Quarter | The Crusaders fell behind 28-14 but found some life a little less than midway through the fourth. A fourth down conversion resulted in a touchdown as Riley hooked up with Williams. NGU then recovered an onside kick but failed to capitalize, turning the ball over to the Choctaws on downs. MC put the game away with two scores in the final eight minutes, capitalizing on an NGU interception and an NGU punt.
