Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Crusaders returned to a winning overall record with a 2-0 victory over the Warriors of Southern Wesleyan University at Pepsi Stadium. North Greenville led in total shots 23-14 including a one-sided second half that resulted in two goals and fifteen shots for NGU.

Recap

• The two teams would fight hard and even in the first half, with NGU totaling eight shots and SWU just behind with seven. With just seconds remaining in the opening half, it seemed that the Crusaders snuck in a goal just as time expired. However, the goal would ultimately not count as the ball entered the goal right as the clock hit zero and the two teams would remain scoreless at halftime.
• Two minutes into the second half, Soto Kubo scored his first goal of the season with an assist by Luiz Neto to put the Crusaders on the board. Christopher Holscher would add an insurance goal in the 77th minute to increase the NGU lead to two goals. From there, the Crusader defense proved to be effective as the Warriors were unable to get on the board.
