North Greenville was able to get the weekend started on a positive note, sweeping the Hawks of Chowan University 3-0 in Murfreesboro, North Carolina. A struggling attack by the Hawks combined with 41 kills by the Crusaders proved to be enough for NGU to take care of business. The win improved North Greenville's overall record to 8-6 and a conference record of 4-2, currently good for 1st place in the Conference Carolinas West standings.

- A one-sided opening set resulted in a .194 attack percentage for NGU and a negative percentage for the Hawks. North Greenville posted ten kills while committing just four attack errors. The score would remain fairly even until a 9-2 run by the Crusaders led to a 25-16 set one win.
- Statistically, set two was NGU's best set of the night as fifteen kills and six errors led to a .200 attack percentage. It was also Chowan's worst of the night statistically, recording just four kills and six errors. The Crusaders started off with a 7-0 run. CU slowly crept back into the set until an 8-2 run by NGU put and end to that. Chowan would put up five straight points before a kill by Erin Allen ended the set with the Crusaders taking it 25-17.
- Set three proved to be the most competitive of the match, with both teams in the positive in attack percentage for the first time in the match. Chowan didn't go down without a fight, leading for the majority of the set. However, a late momentum swing by the Crusaders, a 5-1 run, would end the set with North Greenville winning it 25-22.

- Emilie Allen put together a solid night, recording fourteen kills without committing an error.
- Abigail Durham finished just behind Allen with thirteen digs.
- Ashlyn Conner provided 27 assists and twelve digs.
