Tigerville – North Greenville opened up the Southeast Region today with a 17 – 6 win over the #8 seed Lander University, advancing to winner's bracket in the process.
The Trailblazers got out of the gate quickly scoring five runs in the first inning and never looked back.
Matty Brown complimented NGU's offense with a strong start throwing five shut – out innings in the winning effort. The biggest swing of the game for North Greenville came in the fifth inning as
Kai Tullos lifted one over the left field fence, a three run homer which made it 10 – 0. Tullos finished the game 2 – 3 with three RBI.
The Trailblazers added one more run in the fifth inning and three more in both the 7
th and 8
th innings. Lander's best frame of the day came in the eighth when they scored five runs on two hits. North Greenville had six players with multiples hits and eight players overall reach on base knocks.
Thomas Powell was 3 – 6 with four RBI to lead in that category.
Lane McGaha was 3 – 5 with three runs scored and an RBI while
Landon Peavy finished 3 – 4 with two runs batted in.

North Greenville will face a familiar foe tomorrow in Francis Marion who NGU has faced four times this season in league play. First pitch is scheduled for 6 PM.
