Tigerville - North Greenville dropped a 6-4 decision to Francis Marion in Game 4 of the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional on Friday night in Tigerville. The Trailblazers outhit the Patriots 11-5, but a three-run seventh inning by Francis Marion proved to be the difference.
NGU jumped out to an early lead in the first when Josh Foulks drove in Thomas Powell with an RBI double. Lane McGaha added to the advantage with a solo home run in the fourth to make it 2-0. Francis Marion answered with two runs in the fourth and another in the fifth before Ethan McAnally's three-run homer in the seventh extended the Patriots' lead to 6-2.
Foulks paced the Trailblazer offense, finishing 4-for-4 with a double, a home run, and three RBI. Skyler Hegler and Thomas Powell each collected two hits, while McGaha added a homer and an RBI. NGU mounted a late push in the ninth on Foulks' two-run homer, but Francis Marion closed the door to secure the win.
Skyler Hegler and Thomas Powell were both 2 – 4 with a run scored. Bennett Roemer too the loss for NGU but held the Patriots to just three earned runs on four hits while striking out seven.

North Greenville will battle to stay alive tomorrow at 2 PM against North Georgia at 2 PM. The Trailblazers will play Francis Marion tomorrow at 6 if they beat North Georgia in the 2 PM matchup.
