Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers ended their weekend with a 3-1 victory over the Broncos of Fayetteville State University this afternoon at Hayes Gymnasium. NGU took the opening set with a score of 25-21 and led 24-17 in set two. However, FSU would put together a seven point run to tie up the score of 24-24. Ultimately, the Broncos would score the final three points to win the set 29-27. North Greenville would bounce back in set three, winning it 25-22 then thoroughly controlled set four with a score of 25-19 to end the afternoon early. NGU finished with a .123 attack percentage and led in points, kills, service aces, assists, and digs. With the Trailblazer Invitational Tournament complete, North Greenville wrapped up the weekend with a 2-1 overall record to get the 2025 season underway.
Peyton Taylor recorded 13 kills and 2 digs.
Haley Freeman posted a double-double, posting 13 kills and 10 digs while also providing 3 service aces, an assist, and a block assist.
Allison Ball also finished with a double-double with 22 assists and 14 digs. She also provided 3 service aces.
NGU will return to action on Friday, September 12th to take on the Jaguars of Augusta University in the USC Aiken Invitational Tournament in Aiken, South Carolina.
