The North Greenville Trailblazers were victorious this afternoon in Belmont, North Carolina with a 1-0 victory against the Belmont Abbey Crusaders. With the win, the Trailblazers improved to 4-1 overall with a 1-1 record in conference play. A defensive first half resulted in just five shots, all of them by Belmont Abbey. Both teams were able to get the offense going in the second half, with NGU posting eight total shots. In the 68th minute, a penalty kick by
Lucas Di Pasquale resulted in what would go on to be the only goal of the game. Seven saves in the second half by
Ricardo Marques preserved the shutout.
