North Greenville Completes Come From Behind Victory to Defeat Anderson

Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers were victorious against the nationally-ranked Trojans of Anderson University on a chilly night at Pepsi Stadium, completing a come-from-behind victory with a final score of 12-10. Early on, goals came at a premium as both teams would post just one goal in the 1st quarter, with NGU's goal coming from Jackson Reich. Anderson would get the offense going in the 2nd quarter, scoring three goals while Jackson Reich closed out the half with a goal as North Greenville would trail 4-2 at halftime. Both teams were productive offensively coming out of halftime as they would alternate goals throughout the 3rd quarter. Hayden Moffat, Yates Miller, Liam Brubacher, Caden Castle, and Jackson Reich all scored in the quarter as the Trailblazers took a one point deficit into the 4th quarter. The 4th proved to be North Greenville's most successful one of the game, scoring the first four goals of the quarter with two coming from Yates Miller and the final two coming from Hayden Moffat and Jared Steinman. Anderson didn't go down without a fight, scoring what would become the final goal of the match to cut the deficit to two. However, NGU would hang on to complete the upset. Both teams finished the night with forty-three shots while NGU led in shots on goal 28-21 as well as ground balls 34-27. Face offs heavily favored the Trailblazers, who won eighteen of twenty-six face offs.

Hayden Moffat put together an impressive performance, posting three goals and two assists. Yates Miller recorded three goals and six ground balls. Jackson Reich also scored three goals and provided a ground ball.

NGU will return to action on Saturday, March 1st to take on the Eagles of Embry-Riddle University at Pepsi Stadium.
