Valdosta, GA – An early two score deficit proved costly on Saturday for North Greenville as the Trailblazers fell to Valdosta State 35 – 24 on the road in the last non-conference game of the season.
The Trailblazers found themselves down 35 – 10 in the fourth quarter. North Greenville cut a once 14 – lead to just four with a Bonner field goal and a
Dylan Ramirez rushing touchdown but the Blazers of Valdosta State responded by scoring 21 – unanswered points including a 28 – 10 halftime lead.
Dylan Ramiriez scored his second rushing touchdown of the day and added a touchdown throw to
Eric Rasheed in the fourth but the big lead for Valdosta held up as NGU fell to 4 – 4 on the season.
Ramirez threw for 253 – yards and a touchdown and rushed for 77 – yards and a pair of scores.
Eric Rasheed had 172 – yards on eight catches and a touchdown.
George Wilder and RJ Glassgow led NGU with six tackles each. Wilder also picked off a pass.
