Tigerville, SC - The North Greenville Trailblazers were able to counter a high-powered Southern Wesleyan offense with an impressive performance of their own as a .556 field goal percentage led to an 89-77 victory over the Warriors this evening at Hayes Gymnasium. North Greenville was able to pull away throughout the first half, going on to take a 48-33 lead into halftime. SWU was able to keep up with NGU in the second half, but was unable to pull within single digits as NGU went on to end things with a twelve point victory. The Trailblazers led in points in the paint 44-32 as well as second chance points 13-9.
CaDarrius Sowell led in scoring, finishing with nineteen points in addition to four assists, a block, and a rebound.
Jacob Brown neared a double-double, finishing with nine points, twelve rebounds, two assists, and a steal.
Savion Brown posted seventeen points, three rebounds, an assist, and a block.
NGU will face the Owls of Warren Wilson College on Thursday, January 16th in Shannanoa, North Carolina.
