The North Greenville Trailblazers put together a come-from-behind victory tonight in Bristol, Tennessee to defeat the Tornado of King University with a final score of 3-2. NGU fell in the opening set by a close score of 25-22 but bounced back to take set two with a dominating score of 25-13. The Tornado reclaimed the lead in set three by winning it 25-18, but once again North Greenville recovered and won set four with a score of 25-19. It would all come down to set five, where the Trailblazers would rally after a strong start by King to win the final set with a score of 15-12. North Greenville finished the match with a .198 hitting percentage while leading the night in service aces and tying King in kills and blocks.
Anna Fiddelke led the night in killed with seventeen while also providing three block assists.
Samantha Ball impressed as well with thirteen kills and three digs.
Peyton Taylor posted a double-double with ten kills and eleven digs.
NGU will return to action on Saturday, September 28th against the Patriots of Francis Marion University at Hayes Gymnasium.
